Analysis Of Othello By William Shakespeare - 1306 Words
ago is able to manipulate different characters throughout Othello by appearing to be honest and trust worthy, and using this to make people believe what he is saying is the truth. This means that Iago can tell them what he wants, in order to achieve whatever he desires. Simply, Iago is a two-faced character. A very ironic part of the play is when Iago says, ââ¬Å"By Janusâ⬠, as Janus is a two- faced roman god. The first person/character is Rodrigo. Rodrigo is blinded by his love for Desdemona and is prepared to try anything to win her heart. This makes him an easy target for Iago, as Rodrigo will do anything to get what he wants, Desdemona. Rodrigo is initially displeased with iago, as he has paid iago to promote a marriage between him and Desdemona, but instead Desdemona had married Othello. However, iago easily restores Rodrigoââ¬â¢s faith in him by expressing his hatred for Othello he says varying words, like ââ¬Ëdespise me I do notââ¬â¢- when Rodrigo asks if he hates Othello. Rodrigo is used for his money, Iago tell his him repeatedly to ââ¬Ëput money in thy purseââ¬â¢. Even when Rodrigo threatens iago, ââ¬Ë assure yourself I will seek satisfaction of you (SCENE FOUR), he doesnââ¬â¢t have the necessary willpower and strength to back up his threats, and instead is convinced by Iago to murder Cassio by ââ¬Å"knocking out his brainsââ¬â¢. However, iago intents Ro drigo, as well as cassio to ââ¬Ëlive roderigo-. To make sure of this he stabs roderigo after he is wounded by cassio. Congress shall make no law...abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press (U.S. Constitution). Throughout the ages, censorship has shown up in various forms ranging from printed works to television and the Internet. It can have the positive effect of protecting children from things they are too immature to view, but it can also have negative effects. Censorship may even suppress new and different ideas, keeping them from being made public. It may also set limitations, which stifle the creativity of authors and prevent them from thoroughly expressing their ideas. However it states the government should not censor the people of this country. I know that returning to school is going to be a drastic change in my life style, and Iââ¬â¢m ready to take on this challenge! I have set aside time throughout my work day for studying which my supervisor supports, and this allows less time spent at home with school and more quality time with my wife and son. I have organized with my wife separate shifts for doing our homework at home, and this allows both of us to have one on one time with our son. Most importantly, we now have an iron solid budget while my wife isnââ¬â¢t working, allowing us to still enjoy life and a secure way of life while completing our degrees. Completing your goals, achieving your dreams and securing your future, if there is a will there is a way! I have returned back to school with a purpose, and I will see this through. My family will be more secure, and living life better then we could have ever imagined. Although there are many roadblocks through my journey to my degree, my wife and I are making it happen. We have decided to take on the challenges for success, and we will overcome anything in our way.
